I am passionate about answering questions in applied landscape and wildlife ecology with a focus on how my research can impact conservation.

I have experience providing expert advice and interpretation on the application of wildlife/habitat management and best practices. I feel it is extremely important to develop relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and Indigenous Nations in relation to wildlife stewardship.
My most recent research focused on quantifying grizzly bear (Ursus arctos) habitat selection for a seasonal resource, the Canadian buffaloberry (Sheperdia canadensis) in southern British Columbia. I examined how the distribution of an integral resources like buffaloberry, influenced grizzly bear habitat selection, and how these factors interact to regulate grizzly bear populations.
